PEOPLE’S LIVING CONDITIONS AND PRICE OF GOODS

Brief Introduction

The data in this chapter present the living conditions of the urban and rural households in Chongqing, including basic conditions of urban and rural households, Engle’s coefficient, saving deposits, annual income & expenditure and their compositions, purchases of major commodities, possession of durable consumer goods, as well as consumer price indices, retail price indices, purchasing price indices of raw material, fuel and power and PPI, etc. The data of urban and rural households are the results of sample survey, while the data of prices are collected by direct inquiry method.

The data about the living conditions of metropolitan, urban and rural residents are provided by NBS Survey Office in Chongqing. The data of material & cultural life and saving deposits of urban & rural residents are sorted and compiled by Division of Comprehensive Statistics, Chongqing Municipal Bureau of Statistics.
